Peak Personnel Career Accomplishments
Nigeria (Land & Swamp)
- Have drilled, completed, and repaired over 200 vertical, deviated, horizontal, and multi-lateral wells in most of the major fields of the Niger Delta (land and swamp)
- Have performed chemical sand consolidation, gravel-packing, acidisation, sidetracks, completions, and repairs
Offshore Nigeria
- As Engineer and/or Superintendent, have drilled and completed over 18 wells, mostly from jack-up rigs
Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB)
- Have engineered, supervised, and delivered over 30 exploration, appraisal, and development wells in Western Canada at 7% below AFE – all in two years.
- Led the engineering, planning, and execution of a Canadian company’s first Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) project.
Offshore Russia (Semisubmersible Rig Operations)
- As Senior Drilling Engineer and Operations Superintendent, successfully designed, planned, drilled and abandoned the 1st wildcat well on the Russian side of the Bering Sea (a remote, weather, logistically and environmentally challenging operation) under budget.
China
- As the Lead Drilling & Completion Engineer, designed the HPHT gas wells for PetroChina’s (Kela II, Tarim basin) Tarim – Shanghai gas export project. Designs were adjudged “cost-effective and to the full satisfaction of the client”.
Pakistan
- Researched sour gas field drilling problems, identified recurring problems, and developed a unique extended-reach well design for the field. Design saved operator $2million per well and enabled continued gas production from this field.
Oman
- Changed extended reach multilateral well designs in Oman’s Saih Rawl field reducing field development costs by 25% and achieving 15% increase in hydrocarbon recovery;
- Designed and implemented Oman’s 1st through-tubing multilateral sidetrack.
- Streamlined well costs estimating and budgeting processes for an operator’s $0.5-billion annual drilling and completions budget (as team leader of the process optimization quality improvement team);
- Introduced new wellhead specifications for North Oman fields further reducing wellhead costs by over 30%.
